Born in 1970 in The Netherlands, Albert Ponsteen is one of the youngest partners of GIG. He has a broad experience in software engineering. As a developer and project manager at Europe’s largest high-tech companies he knows from the inside what it means to work under pressure in multi-project environments.

Albert achieved his Master of Science Degree in Information Technology, in 1994 from the University of Technology in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

In the 90-ties he worked for R&D departments of Philips, Ericsson, and Lucent/Agere. Process improvement by applying ISO 9000 and CMM always had his interest. But it didn’t help him enough when he was a project manager of a project that had to finish 3 months earlier than the end date on the schedule. Project management based on TOC did. What really convinced him about the power and potential of TOC, is what the team members told him a year later: It was their best project ever!

After that, the paradigm shift about project management took place in his own thinking, Albert started his own company in 2001. He applied what he learned also in new areas like construction companies and the public sector. Albert is a TOC application expert for project management, production and distribution.
