Rudi brings more than 35
years of business experience to his clients.
He graduated with a degree in chemistry from the ETH in Zürich (1969) and a MBA from McGill University of Montreal (1971). 28 years of his career were spent at the chemical giant Du Pont de Nemours at their international headquarters in Geneva Switzerland. Since 2001 Rudi has been working as an independent consultant, with Goldratt Consulting and now with the Goldratt Implementation Group (GIG).
His career at Du Pont included stints in finance, technical service, supply chain, marketing and sales and finally managing one of Du Pont’s European businesses (Riston®). After managing Riston® Rudi successfully led the implementation of the supply chain part of an ERP implementation for 5 different businesses. The last years before he left Du Pont Rudi spent as an internal consultant working mainly in the area of supply chain and project management.
The start of Rudi’s internal consulting career was also his opportunity to acquire TOC (Theory of Constraints) knowledge. He spent several weeks at the Goldratt Institute learning TOC and its applications. Subsequently he was able to apply his new knowledge in a number of Du Pont projects in production, supply chain and project management areas.
Rudi left Du Pont in 2001 to start his independent consulting career.
In 1999 Rudi won the PricewaterhouseCoopers award for the best article on the subject of “Can you Spot Serious Shareholder Value?” Rudi’s article is titled, “You Can’t Spot Serious Shareholder Value? Check your Paradigms”. A copy of the essay can be found in the publications section of this website.
Riston® is Du Pont’s trademark for its dry film resist for the production of electronic printed circuit boards.
